- Landing ceremony with 42’ carved cedar
seagoing canoe called Kakwetan (translation: Eagle Circling
Above). The seagoing canoe would include 9 paddlers in birch
caps plus captain in full regalia drumming on bow of the canoe.
The
Corporate Special Event Network has developed a strong working
relationship with the Squamish Nation over the past 6 years including
Chief Bill Williams who personally attended our most recent Rain
Forest / Potlatch Feast event. This relationship in conjunction
with numerous discussions with Elder, Bob Baker has enabled the
Corporate Special Event Network to gain a greater appreciation
and understanding of the Squamish Nation’s incredible heritage,
customs and protocol.
For corporate clients that will be using your
venue and are interested in a Rain Forest / Potlatch Feast theme
event, our event team has developed turnkey Rain Forest / Potlatch
Feast event packages to accommodate all budget ranges. The Rain
Forest / Potlatch Feast would be suitable for conference opening
ceremonies, cocktail receptions, theme events and outdoor barbecues. |
